To participate in the activities where fire is involving it is required to wear cotton clothing, handkerchiefs around the neck and a hat or a cap. Under any circumstances water should be thrown at the participants since gunpowder is unpredictable and everyone should try to avoid children getting close to it. You can take part into the celebration (Festa de la Fil·loxera) and the fire activities (Escampada de Fil·loxeretes) dancing, but never pulling the participants especially if they are carrying elements that contain fire.
Remember that for being allowed to carry any of the elements involved in the celebration you need to be a member of the association (Associació de la Festa de la Fil·loxera). In case of being underage parents or legal guardians need to be also members.
Following the current laws, in order to take part in the celebration it is necessary for the members to undertake a course of formation. This course will have to be passed by anyone who wants to be involve in the celebration or any of the fire activities organized.
For the children there will also be some programed courses. In this case a parent or a legal guardian will be asked to take the course too even if they will not wish to participate in the celebration.
